A simple, good day...

I had a good day today. I opened at Family Video today and got to work with the DM (he's a good guy). I also got 9th in sales in the district...ya, that kind of made my day. I'm awesome like that.

Then I got the opportunity to talk to a college class about starting my photography business. You may remember Landon's grandpa? Well he invited me to talk to his entrepreneur class. It was fun, although I get kind of nervous talking to large groups of people. I hope I wasn't too weird...and now that whole class is probably reading this. (If you are, you should leave me a comment!)

After the class, I ate dinner with my sister...and that was my day. As simple as that, but it was a good one.

Now if you stalk me on facebook, twitter, or talk to me on a regular basis, you know I got a new computer. I'm pretty excited about it! It's faster than the old one...that means getting editing done sooner (I hope!) Here she is:

I'm sorry about the lack of pictures lately. Don't worry, though, I have at least one session each weekend in October! I'll be pleanty busy and you'll have lots of beautiful people's pictures to look at!

Dancing in the Dark

Sheena visited Chelsie & me the weekend of Sept. 4th (well, she visited this past weekend too...but this blog isn't about that weekend). Anyways, we were sitting in my living room going back and forth with a series of "What do you want to do?", "I don't know, you think of something", etc... We had already watched some movies and the only thing to do now was go to bed or look at photo blogs.
...or so we thought...
Sheena was saying how she wanted to get pictures of me on my new bike (I got it for my birthday! It's pink!...pics on a future blog). I told her we can't, obviously, because it's dark. If she really wanted to play with my camera, we should dress up, drive my car to some random place, and use my headlights for lighting.

And that is what we did:

Um...I love love love my shoes:

And then we came home and made peanut butter cookies!

Sneak Peek: Nicki + Andy Wedding

Nicki & Andy are supposed to get back from their honeymoon Saturday, so I wanted to post a few pictures before then! Thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding day!

Nicki was stunning! Here's a couple pictures from their "first glance" as Nicki is sneaking up on Andy...

...and Andy's reaction to seeing his lovely bride:

Last one for now: the group!

Josie & Brooks

Josie and Brooks were a lot of fun! They ran straight to the playground equipment then had fun throwing rocks in a stream (Josie loves water!) Plus they had the cutest little outfits!

Landon and Family

Amanda called me on a Thursday to see if I could take pictures of her family on Saturday. We met at the park where Amanda and Brigham got married. It was the perfect place to take pictures of their adorable son, Landon! Brigham's parents and siblings were also there for some group pictures. As it turns out, Landon's grandpa was one of my professors for an entrepreneur class!

Steph + James: Married!

My cousin, Heath introduced me to his friends Stephanie & James when they were searching for their wedding photographer. Steph told me she wanted to let me hang her dress on a tree (see their sneak peak)...and that's when I knew their wedding was going to be amazing! It also didn't hurt that they are an adorable couple and fun to be around.
Thank you, Steph & James for letting me be a part of your wedding!
